why does my dog get up and leave the room
every time McCain comes on the tv?
is it his voice or does she just know hes full of crap and unlike the cat hes not sharing?

1. Are you in the habit of throwing things at the TV when he appears?
It could just be self-preservation...

2. McCain gives your dog...
..."paws" for concern, and the emotion overwhelms him so much
that he needs to leave the room.

6. it's called dogwhistling
McCain is giving your dog secret instructions that you can't hear, and your dog is leaving the room to carry them out. :tinfoilhat:

14. Mission accomplished!
See, she's looking out for you. My dumb beast farts because it feels good and there's nothing else to do. I'm just the guy who walks him and skritches his ears, nobody worth protecting, certainly not worth making an effort to move before he gasses up the place.

11. They say that children and dogs are the best judges of character.
Your dog can't bite the TV, so she registers her opinion by leaving. Smart girl!

16. Dogs can be pretty political. Very likely you have a real perceptive dog
and she knows a miserable loser like McCain when she hears one.

22. Here's a related question:
Back when bu$hler had his little encounter with the Pretzel Of Doom, choked on it and fell off the sofa (hitting his bone head on the way down), he later said that he couldn't have been "out" for more than a couple of seconds, because his dogs were still sitting in the same place. That is, they had NOT made a move to come and see about him.

How much of a sorry motherfucker do you have to BE before your own dogs won't lift a paw to help you when you're in distress?

Dogs are impeccable judges of character and they don't much like snakes. Pet her for me!
