Great News: John Edwards Would Consider To Be Obama`s VP If Asked!!!! |
|
This Week: John Edwards walked back his apparent rejection of a VP spot, saying he would consider the job if asked. Criticized McCain’s tax policy, disagreed with his response to the Supreme Court Gitmo decision. http://thepage.time.com/2008/06/15/on-the-sunday-shows-31/

|
Disingenuous, unbelievable, and reversable. People forget that this guy was as pro-war as Lieberman and Miller.

12. He went to Spain and got a little crazy... |
|
Essentially saying, "that ship has sailed".
Though I was a little suspicious of the potential translation issue.
In any case, whether he said it or not, it doesn't sound like that's what he meant.

and I didn't know he said it in Spain. Oh well, who knows? Things will get interesting now if he's done a one eighty.

It was well after he endorsed him - which was after Obama in effect had already won. (It was after the huge win in NC)
He also said many times before that that he didn't like being VP. I think it is because he does not like being the number two, echoing the number one. That he proudly spoke in 2007 of refusing to use Kerry's slogan, shows a fundamental unwillingness to do what a VP nominee always does. That he acted as though he knew better than Kerry, who completely surpassed him on experience and knowledge - both as a statesman and as a politician, would not bode well for him taking guidance from a man he has called weak and inexperienced. Although Jordan is no longer on the team - those are questions that will be pursued.
Edwards also is mostly a media hyped creation. He was at best a mediocre one term Senator.

27. He did not change his mind. Two questions differently worded get two different answers. That is all. |

Q 1: Are you interested being VP: A1 : NO
Q 2: If asked, would you consider it. A2 : YES
Simply people making noise about non existent issues.

Obama needs somebody on the ticket who connects with rural America.
Edwards doesn't do that.

But I do expect serious consideration for a cabinet spot, either Attorney General, or perhaps Secretary of Labor (a good position for his anti-poverty initiatives)

28. I like Edwards, I really do but I do not think he is VP material. |
|
He got slaughtered by Cheney in the debates. The dinosaur ought to have been a massive failure but he beat Edwards BADLY.
Sadly he is the only one I can honestly say that needs to be lower on the list than Hillary Clinton.

29. While is it news? Anybody would consider it. Did he say he was interested having it, which was the |

question he answered NO to.
Otherwise, it is the same BS the media have been making for years, twisting words to make headlines.

32. I think we'd be better served with Edwards as AG |
|
Given his interests and skills, he would be wasted in the VP role; whereas he could do much good in the AG spot.
