1. Yep.
I'm a deputy voter registrar in my county, proud of it, too. I walked door to door at all these apartment complexes registering people to vote. One elderly couple said they were surprised anyone cared about their vote. That was sad. But they were really grateful.

Become a voter register and register citizens to vote in your local area. (Community Service)
BE PROACTIVE, AND BE INVOLVED IN USA ELECTIONS! MAKE THE CALL to find out how you can become a voter registrar in your local area. Then take the next step and JUST DO IT! BECOME A VOTER REGISTRAR THIS SUMMER. After completing the requirements to become a voter registrar, you will be READY TO GO to participate directly in voter registration drives (for OBAMA) over the summer and into the fall 2008. Plus you will have the added benefit of being a voter registrar past the 2008 elections, a way to stay involved in your government, promoting a democratic society that is involved and ready to vote. Take that first step now. Call or go on your local county or state website to obtain information from your local, county, or state elections board on how you can become a voter registrar for your county, district, state. Remember, each state has different rules and requirements. This is one way to be FIRED UP AND READY TO GO in promoting greater citizen participation in our democracy.

3. Um, stand on a street corner with forms and (hopefully) know what you're doing.
That's how we roll here in Philly. We don't get deputized.
