Who is Carly Fiorina, you ask?
Edited on Mon Jun-16-08 01:31 PM by Husb2Sparkly
Why, she's Johnny Boy's latest economic advisor.

She is also a failed CEO

She is also a proponent of H1B visas

She has also said that no American has a god given *right* to a job

In her tenure at Hewlett Packard, she rallied the company to a halving of its value <---- sarcasm

On the day she was fired, HP stock rose 7%

She is now an analcyst on Fox's fledgling business channel.

She's in the RNC insider circles.

She wants to be Johnny Boy's veep.

edited to add the word "American"

5. Itty-bitty correction; she said no AMERICAN has a God-given right to a job.
A tiny, but very important distinction...

13. HP, under Fiorina, was one of the biggest abusers of the H1B visa ...
... and other trafficking in human labor. What was once a very progressive company, with labor practices among the very best, was driven into the ditch by Fiorina.

14. May she bring the same magic to McCain's campaign that she brought to HP...
Speaking as an ex-HP-employee (and there are a lot of those, thanks to Carly), when it was announced that Carly was canned, everyone who worked for HP was dancing and singing Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead.

15. I can't wait...
I can't wait to find out what my Bush-loving brother-in-law, who happens to be a 'scientist-engineer' at HP thinks about this. He loathes Carly with a passion I've only seen him vent on 'liberals' in the past.

None of the rest of his family can figure out what went wrong with him - his parents and my wife are all the same 'liberals' he loves to hate so much. :eyes:

20. Thanks.Carly was on Andrea Mitchell's show today, part of a huge media exposure for this failed CEO.
And, never a word about her failed leadership of Hewlett-Packard, and, of course, her $21 million golden parachute upon being forced out.

22. They seem to think the BLOGOSPHERE doesn't know what Fiorina did to HP and all of those tech jobs.
I should find it hard to believe, but after 25 years of him being my Senator, I don't. He and his handlers really are that clueless.

21. As a former Musicmatch employee, I also have some personal reasons to be disgusted with her!...
Edited on Mon Jun-16-08 02:49 PM by calipendence
... and I think there were many people at HP at the time that felt mutually the same way with her VERY stupid business moves governing their music/portable device products then. I think some of those moves were amongst the many that lead to her downfall at HP. She was a financial/marketing person in training and skills and had virtually NO understanding/vision of HP's product line. When you had what were previously well run companies of HP where the leadership really made sure that their product vision produced well, and her taking over and failing miserably, it wasn't hard to see why she got ousted.
