Your Opinions: McCain's state of mind |
|
It's obviously, there are differences between... - John McCain from today and John McCain from 2000 - John McCain from today and John McCain from 2000-2007 - John McCain from today and John McCain from yesterday
A new era of politics has commenced. You-tube changed everything. All politicians now have a public track record of speeches and interviews, that can be looked up anytime by anybody. No single flip-flopping on key issues will go unnoticed. The question is: What about McCain's flip-flops?
* Is McCain "old politics", where lies and empty promises went unnoticed? Lie today, because no one's gonna dig it up tomorrow? (I remember watching a TV-interview of Cheney: "Never said that." Oh yes, he did.)
* If McCain is indeed lying: Does he lie, because he's used to (old habits...), or does he have an agenda (like attracting voters) ?
* Does McCain believe what he wants us to believe?
* Or are his oral mishaps mere (let's coin it politely) "senior moments"?
What's your bet?

3. If they are "senior moments" he's been having them for 25 years... |
|
Maybe he is lying about his age???
This is a man who said he "had no idea" that riding Charles Keating's jet to DC while he was on the banking committee might be considered unethical by the Senate or the public... :banghead:
