Example of why Cable TeeVee Sucks ASS! They think we want to hear them instead of Barack Obama!
So I turned off my Television when I realized that they were gonna start talking over Barack Obama instead of allowing us to see the rally unplugged.

Initially I thought that they would go with it, since there is an election going on. But nooooooo. Instead, we get to hear the Nincompoop Talking heads jabber on and on.....as though what they say makes a difference to my future. :wtf:

So like I said, Fuck cable. They ain't worth shit! :(

I can't get Obama's site to hold the sound solid.

That Obama's earlier speech today in Flint, MI.

It was a great speech though.....so it is certainly worth a listen.

They weren't covering tonight's speeches when I checked earlier.

5. I'm turning my cable off. If I want it or need it, I can find it online
I hate the pinheads like Abrams and the rest who think we care what they have to say when something is happening right behind them on tv

Edited on Mon Jun-16-08 08:33 PM by FrenchieCat
it's like they are on 24/7....but most of the time, they are just interviewing each other.....like we give a damn about what they each think.

What a jipp!

27. CNN does actually cover more news, but it's not the CNN Ted Turner created. However, MSNBC
is vying for Jerry Springer Status.. your statement about interviewing each other is absolutely DEAD ON, ROFL !

19. They covered Al Gore's speech ...
But as soon as Obama started talking on CNN,Larry King came on and it cut off and on MSNBC,Dan Abrams' show came back on as if no rally was going on in Michigan tonight.

12. Al Gore hit it out of the ball park and they covered his speech, but
they didn't let the audio on Obama through. I had to switch it off. Everytime MSNBC looks like they might do the right thing, they don't. We don't need them anyway. Internet will have plenty of playback for us. It's just too bad we have to struggle so much for it.

15. Doesn't even make any sense.........
Like someone's running for President, and we get to hear them droning on instead.

They must have broken away to discuss the life of Tim Russert again.

If they understood how much we resent their lack of due diligence, they'd be scared while sleeping.

20. This is why people watched the Dem convention on c-span.
Their ratings went down for the convention in '04 and they thought it was because people lost interest in the convention. People lost interest in the network talking head bullshit.

At least on MSNBC Dan Abrams cut off his junior varsity talking heads so that we could hear Al. They went back to it when Obama came on.

28. This is why I don't have cable.
One of the reasons, anyway. I don't see the value in paying for something, which unlike the public tv of yesteryear, has commercials.

The media whores are all over this Russert story because he's the first of their generation to die (unlike, say, Peter Jennings). They've been hit over the head with their own mortality and they're still reeling from it.

I wish they'd get over themselves already.

For one thing they couldn't stop talking in the lead up to it, then as soon as Al Gore handed the mike back to Obama, they leaped in with blabber about banal stuff. Useless.
