14. My neighbor lost her dog, and my friend lost her cat

to the tainted pet food. Granted, the dog was in poor health. But my friend Kathy's cat was a healthy five-year-old who wolfed down the cuts and gravy food that her brother and sister wouldn't eat. She died before the whole thing really came out in the media. Poor little Wednesday. :(
