Will Al Gore's endorsement help Obama?
I wanted to start a discussion about just this topic. First I thought to myself that of course Gore's endorsement would help out Obama a lot because Gore is so, ummm, Awesome! But isn't it just like preaching to the choir. I mean, aren't all of the Gore fans Obama supporters anyway?

2. Might help some former Hillary supporters to jump on board.
Some people supported Hillary because they wanted a link back to the prosperity of the 1990s. Gore, being VP of that admin, might help them let go of Hillary and get on board with Barack.

21. Maybe Obama should invite the Medicine Man of the Crow Nation to smudge the place
with some sage and shit before he moves into the White House.

5. MSNBC analyst suggested it would help put Florida in play
Not sure what her name is, but she was on Dan Abrams show tonight (not Tanya, the other lady). Interesting proposition, though I'm not sure if it'll hold up.

12. Why? What effect has a Gore endorsement had on state-wide elections in Florida since 2000?

14. Hey, don't shoot the messenger :-)
I thought the comment was kind of crazy as well. She was essentially making the case that if Gore goes down to Florida to stump for Obama, Gore can connect with a lot of people there about being disenfranchised.

Maybe those who voted for Nader in 2000 (thanks for Bush, BTW) will feel enough remorse to vote for the Democrat this time.
