Carly Fiorina again touted McCain lie that Obama's tax plan would kill small businesses
The McCain campaign’s perception of American incomes is woefully out of touch. An income of $200,000 places an American family firmly in the “rich” category:

– The 2006 census showed that an income of $174,012 put an American household within the top 5 percent of income earners.

– A report by the Citizens for Tax Justice estimates that in 2008, “only 3.2 percent of taxpayers will have adjusted gross income (AGI) greater than $200,000 and only 2.1 percent will have AGI over $250,000.”

– A 2007 Wall Street Journal article placed earners who make $277,000 in the top 1 percent of all income earners.

And, from the Tax Policy Center...

Small Businesses and Marginal Income Tax Rates

By William G. Gale

First, few small business owners face the highest marginal income tax rates. Less than 9 percent of returns with small business income are in tax brackets of 28 percent and above, less than 3 percent face rates of 33 percent and above, and only 1.3 percent are in the top bracket. Roughly 97 percent of small businesses would not be affected at all by increases in the top two tax rates. More than two-thirds of all returns with small business income are in the 15 percent or lower tax bracket, and 88 percent face rates of 25 percent or below.

5. and Joe Scumborough gave her a pass
in his Morning RNC show and let her attack Obama at will. And Mika all she could say: "Oh Gosh, are you for VP?". I cannot stand that woman (Farina)

7. Joe actually asked her more probing questions about McCain's reversals on Bush's tax cuts than any
media talking head on the cable news shows. It's about time, but will there be any followup?

I doubt it--except perhaps for Olbermann.

8. Chainsaw Carly gives about as much care to small businesses as her morning latte.
Common sense should tell you, middle and working classes: Don't take election advice from a pro-job-offshorer, fire-O-matic (pretty much her only business strategy) ex-CEO. They're NOT on your side.

9. What small businesses? It's all big-box stores all the time these days.
And now they are adding things like hair salons, eyeglasses, and restaurants to their repertoire. Carly does know a thing or two about ruining a business though.

10. What does she know about running a business? How to destroy it, yes. Beyond that,
I give up.

11. "Ruining" a business, blondeatlast, not "running" a business.

14. No problem. We know about CF here in Houston. In fact if McCain puts her on the
ticket it may just piss off enough Texans and turn the state Blue.
