..... Since I boneheadedly left my camera on its charger. .... This array shows some of the excitment - the lines of people waiting to get into the arena, the signs, the moments....but they pale in comparison to being there LIKE I WAS! :P http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Avis=C4&Dato=20080616&Kategori=NEWS&Lopenr=806160809&Ref=PH

I left my camera at home, too, but on purpose. I wasn't sure what security was going to be like and I didn't want to have any delay getting in. On the plus side, no camera left my hands free to clap! :applause:

5. Specifics, please! How long in line? Where did you sit? |
|
Did you get a place on a rope line? How did it feel with the folks surrounding you? Were folks stoked? Did you see many children?
C'mon... give!

6. Up in the Bob Uecker seats....We arrived at Joe Louis via PeopleMover about 45 minutes..... |
|
.... before the scheduled start time of 8:30.....
The lines were INSANE! Packed all the way down the many ramps of the PeopleMover platform.....A second line from the Joe Louis Arena entrance, down the stairs and along the side of the arena to the river, and about 1/4 a mile down the Riverwalk. And a third ginormous line along the street in front of JLA. People were hyped like it was a rock concert or game 7 of the World Series.....Lots of kids, Gazillions of under-30s in an incredibly diverse crowd of 20,000 or so!
Wow!

7. I'd want to be there just to watch the faces of the kids. |
|
Maybe I'm getting doddy in my old age ... but the kids really get to me.
