McCain camp: Gitmo Detainees Aren't South Side drug dealers

"On a conference call with reporters, McCain aide Randy Scheunemann continues to criticize Barack Obama's praise for criminal prosecution of the first World Trade Center bombers in the 1990s.

"They are very dangerous people ... they include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," he said of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, going on to take a shot at Obama's political roots: "These aren’t just your run of the mill drug dealers that are picked up on the South Side of Chicago," he said, referring to the legal protection afforded criminal defendants."

All they have to do is produce the evidence. They know that many of those detainees are innocent. They paid people to tell on their neighbors. They know that some of these people did this only for the money and some of the people they detained were innocent.

...but the guys who set up the rules for the country that you keep claiming to love, Mr. McCain, very clearly wrote that those rules work the same for all of you.

south side dealers had their day in court. They were not tortured, they were not held indefinitely without charges.

Those ride along drug busts show those south side drug dealers aren't exactly under armed. Heck I'm willing to bet the drug dealers in south side is better armed than the average Gitmo prisoner was at the time they were picked up. pst John that whole war on drugs not going so well either.
