3. It gives me a bizarre kind of comfort to hear that the media are |
|
fawning over McCain.
It means that they're maybe anctually trying to secure a win for him, not just letting him take the early heat, all the while planning to induce a heart attack in him at the last minute & run Sylvester Stallone or something.

5. Ha! The new meme of the day is he's the underdog. When did THAT |
|
happen? I thought all of his 'experience' measured against a freshman senator would equate to a lead.

2. They know Bush is shit... |
|
...and they propped his ass up. If the election is a blowout, it would just confirm beyond a doubt that the media was complicit in Bush criminality, and with McCain, the media darling, tied to Bush, it would all reflect on them rather poorly. In their attempts to be "fair and balanced", they've had a hand in driving this country in the wrong direction.
Media heads in Rwanda were brought up on charges for their complicity, perhaps self-preservation is their motive. After all, no one wants their head on a pike.

4. If they all said "Yeah, McCain sucks, just vote Obama" |
|
then there'd be no controversy to stir up over the next few months, and people might go out and live real lives instead of watching tv and blogging.
So they are doing you a favor by being nice to McCain.

6. The whores are gearing up for 5 months of |
|
propping up McCain and doing as much as they can to boost his candidacy. Google News had a headline story this morning from FAUX explaining how McSame will win and another claiming that independents are breaking for him.
They'll do anything to put the thug into the WH.

7. They rail hardest against truth and power |
|
This is a very powerful truth that McCain keeps in the light every time he opens his mouth. We're seeing damage control, pure and simple. I'm betting it won't fly. The similarities in policy are too striking, and too many people have awoken from the big sleep.

9. I think it needs to be framed as |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 12:03 PM by 4themind
not so much that McCain IS bush (just to be extreme, he's not a DNA duplicate heheh) but that he's similar enough on enough issues, that many americans would not find it to be in their best long term interests to vote for him. I think the voters are ready for this kind of nuance, and there's relatively less for bush to point out to defend himself against it.

11. Here is a shocking revelation: |
|
the Bullshit Media System is a GOP propaganda organization, for the most part. Some of the best known talking heads get their talking points on a regular basis from the RNC and use them just as regularly and are on record admitting that they have done just that.

13. Not only that, but in their knee-jerk defensive nature of John McCain |
|
Take the new MoveOn ad for instance, it's not nearly as dramatic as they make it seem. The good news is, the more they complain and publicize it...the more people become aware of it and come to their own conclusions. The MSM is finally realizing that people are taking them less and less seriously as the be-all, end-all. The internet and blogs are being used more and more. Why do you think the MSM always mentions "DA Blogz" now? They're trying to appear progressive all the while using the same old tactics...and nobody is buying it.

14. There's video from 2007 of McCain saying Bush should be the republican nominee. |
|
For the love of God, I don't know why that video isn't on heavy repeat.
