Hillary Clinton Actually Supported Patty Doyle-Solis
According to Lynn Sweet, Patti Doyle-Solis called Hillary Clinton about her going onboard the Obama campaign:

Doyle, who first started working for the Clintons in the 1992 presidential campaign -- moving from Chicago's City Hall to Arkansas -- phoned Clinton to tell her about her Obama position before it was announced. Clinton congratulated her.

And Hillary later released this statement when her campaign spokesperson realized that people were misinterpreting the hire, notably the defenders of Mark Penn:

“Patti will be an asset and good addition to the Obama campaign. After nearly two decades in political life, she brings with her the ability to tap an extensive network that will be a huge asset to Senator Obama. As Senator Clinton has said, we’re all going to do our part to help elect Senator Obama as the next President of the United States," said spokesman Mo Elleithee.

And Bill Clinton is working to get his Hollywood donors onboard with Barack Obama:

Bill Clinton came to Hollywood for Thursday's American Film Institute gala to pay tribute to Warren Beatty, but the former President didn't miss the chance to play peacemaker among warring Democrats. While Clinton commiserated with Hillary-backers like Jack Nicholson, he also reached out to Obama-backers, like vicious Clinton-basher David Geffen. Said WJC to Beatty: "We all have to get behind Barack now."

6. This is encouraging
It's hopeful to hear that things like this are going on rather than the Right's dream fantasy that the Democrats are imploding from within.

10. ok, this makes more sense than the spin
Clinton and Doyle have been working together for too long to let this primary end their mutual respect for one another.

12. Told You So! This Should Be Pinned To The Top
The concern trolls, of course, came out in force after Mark Penn's defenders started ripping Obama's selection of former Clinton confident Solis Doyle to his VP search committee. That's why I continue to question whether several of the so-called Hillary supporters were really Hillary supporters or just Republicans trying to stir the pot, since they would not take Hillary's official spokesperson at face value.

It will be interesting to see if the MSM issues retraction for spreading unfounded rumors, as well.
