First joint appearance scheduled for our two warriors-Clinton/Obama joint fundraiser on June 26
Let the healing continue. Can't wait to see our two gladiators united and fighting for the same cause. I've been waiting for this.

It's the first known plan to bring together the victor and vanquished from the Democrat primary race and put their pledges of unity for the fall campaign into action.

Jonathan Mantz, Clinton's national finance director, sent top Clinton fundraisers an e-mail today inviting them to the event on June 26.

"As we move forward, we invite you to join us for a National Finance Committee meeting with both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on Thursday, June 26th in Washington, D.C., to discuss how we can work together to support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party," Mantz wrote.

"Hillary ran for President because she wants to put this country on the right track," Mantz wrote. "She continues to fight and stand strong for our values and priorities and will do everything she can to unify the party and to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States."

As part of the effort, Mantz wrote, the Clinton campaign is encourage its supporters to contribute $2,300 to Obama's campaign.

1. Any chance they can use some of the funds raised
to help Hillary with her debt? I'd like to see that happen.

4. Good
I never thought I'd say this, but it seems like Hillary is putting some genuine effort behind the scenes into helping Obama. I expected that she would do a lot publicly but very little behind the scenes, and maybe even work to undermine him behind the scenes. So far I am liking what I am seeing.

7. Some say he is still very pissed about how things went down...
Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 06:35 PM by yeswecanseattle
he feels as if "Obama's people" smeared him, and turned the AA community against him.

Basically, his feelings are hurt. He needs to get over it, and him publicly campaigning for Barack would be a good first step.
