Sincere apologies, GDPers
If I offended anyone with my thread, last night. Spent the day in Cedar Rapids and experienced the stories, in person, for the first time since the waters receded. Lost homes, shattered lives & dead pets(that one really hits home).I fear I took it out in the wrong place. So many of you have been beyond supportive, and for this I am eternally grateful. All is not lost, however. Bush gets here tomorrow. Have a great day!

1. I saw it, I passed it by knowing that you were immersed in a little hell. No harm done here,
my friend.

Take care, that's all!

3. I saw your post and understood what you meant

One of my best friends is from Iowa City and she has friends from all over Iowa. She called the other day when she recognized one of the neighborhoods that her friends lived in and it was being washed away. She was hysterical and I was right there with her. We've been watching in horror as the flooding has garnered far less notice than it has deserved.

Some of her friends are staying with her in Kansas as they figure out what to do now that their lives and homes have been destroyed. Last I heard they were getting together supplies - water, food, blankets, etc - and were planning on returning to where their homes used to be to see what they could do to salvage their lives and the lives of their neighbors.

You don't need to apologize for expressing your anger over cookies when people's lives have been ripped apart.
