Okay lets DU this thing. Post on myspace forum spews horrible bull crap about Obama

If you noticed I used the links you guys provided me about fundraising to dispute this. I am so pissed about some of the crap being argued in this post it makes me go cross eyed.

and here is my response to it that I posted:

"I personally think that Barack Obama has a very good chance of winning. He is ahead in all of the national polls. In fact Obama has a good chance of winning NC. He was within two points of McCain in North Carolina. Within the margin of error and he has not even begun extensive campaigning in this state. He has out raised McCain financially. Obama's total raised so far is $265,439,277 verses McCain's $96,654,783. Though cash on hand Obama has $46,555,057 and McCain has only $23,988,473

Historically speaking donations are a very good indicator of which way the election will go. Also, historically speaking, national opinion of the administration in power has always been an indicator of who will win the election. Bush's disapproval rating is now at 68% the worst since the 1930's. Worse than Truman's approval rating, and even worse than Nixon's approval rating.

The republicans have an up hill battle. McCain may win, but it statistically unlikely. "





I think it would be awesome (or at least make me feel better) if everyone here went and posted a pro Obama comment in that thread! Even if it was just a good old fashion "GOBAMA!"

If it is against the rules to rally support for Obama in a thread on another messageboard then I humbly apologize, I ask that this please be deleted, and that I please be forgiven. It is not my intention, but I thought I had seen people do similar things such as "DU this poll". Etc. I am merely passionate about Obama and am very upset that someone would try to connect him to terrorists with lies and smears and think that was okay and acceptable in civilized society!

I don't deal well with hateful and ignorant people. Anyone saying the negative things about Obama I read in that thread are not functioning correctly as human beings. IDK. I overreacted. I'm sorry.

I hadn't actually encountered people with some of those opinions yet. I don't discuss politics on messageboard very often outside of DU.

Today was actually the first time I've been on a myspace messageboard. I went there looking for advice about finding local musicians to add to a band and then stumbled across that thread and freaked. If I ever have to head into that forum again I'll remember to bring a klonopin or something.

I gave them facts. Even posted a link for the financial information. They'd have to at least believe those numbers even if they refused to believe it signified a lack of support for McCain (which any one can see it DOES show a lack of support for McCain). I know I shouldn't get so worked up. I never post on Myspace forums. Never read them before today... but this was shocking, and upsetting. I have a major issue when dealing with mentally dysfunctional people. (not the same as those who may actually be living with a diagnosed handicap, but the people who CHOOSE to live with a mental dysfunction... aka hardcore conservative republicans)
