6. Our best bet is to keep both McCain & Obama out there |
|
When either speak, they drive voters to the Democratic party.

8. It will not be Jeb, the Bush name is damaged goods |
|
I think that they will draft Gingrich and pair him with Huckabee or Giuliani as VP

11. No--unless he dies, McCain will be the nominee. they didn't switch out Dole in '96 |

Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 11:17 AM by book_worm

12. If they pull a switchout on McCain the loss will only be worse |
|
The Republicans have been lauding McCain as the nominee for months already. To alter that now would destroy what confidence remains in the Republicans.
Hell, we could end up wiht 63 or 64 Senate Seats and as many as 275 House seats if they pulled that crap.

10. Obama's lead will be bigger even in November |
|
This election will not be close. McCain is a very weak candidate. The current administration is extremely unpopular.
Recipe for defeat.

They can't win on policy. They can't win on personality. Their only hope is to turn to the dark side.

15. I wouldn't put so much faith in Quinnipiac and ARG. Both pollsters suck. |
|
Virginia is a dead heat right now. Don't assume Obama's ahead there. After looking at the crosstabs for Quinnipiac's polling in Florida and Ohio, both polls could very well be worthless.
