4. Why so close in Minnesota?
I swear I saw a poll there from about 6 weeks ago that showed Obama with a 20+ point lead. What gives?

5. Man, this is looking good. REALLY, really good since it's so early.
I was so disappointed to see that NM is leaning McCain on CNN's electoral map, so this is good news to me today.

6. Yes, the polls have been good for Obama
But many of them have been within the margin of error and very close. With a high number of Undecideds. That means we can't get complacent and still have a tough road ahead of us. McCain could just as easily be ahead in some of these states where Obama only leads by 1% next week.

7. I'd hate to be a pessimistic party pooper, but I don't buy some of those numbers
Some of them look very suspicious and unrealistic to me, specifically the ones below.

Maine: McCain vs. Obama Rasmussen Obama 55, McCain 33 Obama +22.0
Penn: McCain vs. Obama Quinnipiac Obama 52, McCain 40 Obama +12.0
Ohio: McCain vs. Obama PPP (D) Obama 50, McCain 39 Obama +11.0

No way is Obama blowing McCain out of the water in Maine by 22%. He IS very very likely to carry the state, but not by that massive margin.

As a person who lives in PA I can guarantee you that Obama is not going to beat McCain here by 12%, 5% I can believe, but not a double digit win.

In Ohio it's the same thing, Obama may win it (though it's a bit less likely then winning PA) but he's not winning it by double digits, or something close to double digits like 8%.

8. I'd love to see a big blue Alaska!
Unlikely to happen, but I'm pretty shocked (and encouraged) that McCain is only +4 there!
