Poll question: Will the GOP replace McCain?
His poll numbers are bad. The Conservatives hate him.

1. Yes, without doubt.
It will happen a day or two after the Obama's Nomination at the Democratic Convention. A friend and I have been discussing this for a while. MC In Sain will announce that due to health reasons he cannot accept the nomination. Another younger, sharper person will be brought in. And then it will uglier than you have ever imagined in your life. Thom Hartman was talking about this the other day. A number of people are thinking along these lines for several reasons.

9. Which kind of makes sense
since it would steal some of the show and possibly minimize Obama's post convention bump in the polls.

2. Not to sound morbid....but I don't think he'll make it through

the process. Regardless of what the Med Reports say....he's in some sad shape.

He does virtually no excercise, sits on his ass, walks around like he's got sticks for legs. I don't wish anything bad on anyone, but he's a walking corpse.

7. Did it occur to you that he might be deliberately walking like a corpse...
in order to attract votes from hard-working corpses in America?

3. They'll run Dennis Miller in McCain's place at the last minute.

8. I voted other, but have been leaning toward yes
It wouldn't surprise me a bit IF the Republicans pulled a fast one at the convention and had something prearranged.

One of the possibilities is to withdrawal his name right before the role call and offer the name of whomever he's chosen as VP. Most likely they'd have to have a possible VP replace me ready as well, thereby nominating both of the ticket at the same time. Not to mention this would make for a dramatic TV coverage for a couple of days. McCain would actively support the ticket and campaign with them as well as go back to work in the US Senate.

12. I find it very unlikely
Unless they would like to commit political suicide. No Republican can beat Obama, but Romney and the others would lose by an even large margin, IMO.

13. I've considered this for awhile. He has very high negatives. I think the
Repugs will have a person and a plan in place. I hope Obama's folks have thought about this as a possibility.
