ABC's Gibson asks if the fact that Obama can raise so much more money than MdCain "Is that fair?"
Well, Charlie, nobody in media cared when the Republicans outspent the Democrats throughout history using corporate contributions. Now that Obama looks like he might raise more money from PEOPLE than McCain will raise from corporations and various interest groups aligned against fairness in the tax code or in access to health care, or honesty and full disclosure in lending by banks and credit card issuers to name a few issues where corporate interests consistently line up against the interests of people, you are concerned with fairness of one candidate haveing more funds than the other. OBama's contributions average about $75. They come from average people who don't have high-paid lobbyists to snuggle with Republican degenerates to get laws written for the specific advantage of one industry or even one company.

Your concern for the "fairness" of Obama's appeal to those who don't have the power and money required to buy lobbyists to apply insider pressure for them (that's how the Republican party stays in business after all) is disgusting and contemptible. YOUr kind of reporting is just a bit more subtle than Rush Limbaugh's but just as reprehensible.

Frankly you're no better than Katie Couric despite your feigned earnestness.

19. thanks for the link. I did email ABC news about it. My email was shorter though.
I encourage everybody to email the media sycophants (they are important enablers to fascism, no small matter) and call them on spreading disinformation and slanting their coverage. You never know. Your one email might be the one that hits the tipping point.

But it wasn't fair when republicans did it either and I didn't hear you making a fuss about it then, Gibson. Payback's a bitch.

Geez, pardon Obama for being so much more popular than McBush that people flock to his site to donate. Is it fair an old coot with a wealthy wife can fly around in her corporate jet on campaign jaunts and not pay for the privilege?

31. obviously it is perfectly fair.
What I don't get is how it can be WRONG to opt to take donations from the people directly instead of using tax dollars that are sorely needed elsewhere. :wtf:

Of course Barack Obama should deliberately hamstring himself so that the 527s can shoot him out of the sky! What were we thinking, trying to win?
