1. Lindsey Graham's disgustingly snide sneer and laugh
made me want to toss my coffee cup through the TeeVee. Watching his crooked, lying-ass bluster put me in a rather foul mood this morning.

It is worth watching Biden if you can stomach the rest...

5. His lips would first need to be surgically removed from McCain's ass.
He's on the right cheek, Lieberbush is on the left.

4. Graham neared blubbering
and even said "It's sad" (referring to WHEN Obama is inevitably president). I thought he gave a real air of the frustration and anxiety growing on the Right, while Biden stuck by quotes and in general sounded much more intelligent and that much more determined.

Go ahead, McSame, pick the mealy-mouthed Graham for your VP, for all the good it'll do ya.

...look like he wears makeup, or plucks his eyebrows? There's something about him that just looks weird, but I can't put my finger on it.

7. Biden was excellent
in all his answers and comments, including the inevitable VP question. On the public funding issue, I liked that he basically acknowledged that Obama went back on his word in form but not in essence, because of the huge number of small donations involved.

8. Biden not only wiped the floor with Graham
He came seriously close to violating some environmental regulations
when he tossed him out with the trash. Understandable, though, as there
was no real way to discern any difference.........

9. Didn't McCain BREAK THE FREAKING FEC LAWS several months ago???
I remember seeing this on firedoglake.com several months ago: Why the fuck aren't Obama and Biden pointing out McCains illegal acts
related to public financing???????? Numerous activists have filed official FEC complaints about this, which a broken GOP FEC can't
or won't investigate and prosecute. I don't get it.

********************************************
Sign the McCain FEC Complaint Letter

By his own admission, John McCain is breaking the law. His latest spending report has him $4 million over the limit he imposed on himself when he accepted public financing.

We're not about to let this stand, so on Tuesday we filed an FEC complaint against the McCain campaign (check out the video of delivery to the right). Now we're set for a second larger delivery of 30,000 signatures of Americans who won't stand by while John McCain breaks the law.

The list of people who have already signed includes:

13. Senator Biden
Was fantastic this morning. He just stuck to the facts and kept repeating them - to the point that he looked like he was irritated that the had to be on there with a dim witted child who couldn't remember their ABC song.

If anyone is passing by this and didn't see it this morning definately check it out online!

14. Too much theater for me to get thru --
Edited on Sun Jun-22-08 02:28 PM by defendandprotect
How does anyone watch this crap . . . ?????

This whole segment is based on a ridiculous notion . . . that Obama is a "flip--flopper" --- ???

And people are actually sitting down and watching this?

Biden is good --

but he might have also mentioned that McCain was against overturning Roe vs Wade and

is now for overturning Roe vs Wade ---

That would seem to end the subject ---

And the ridiculous Lindsey Graham --- who would listen to him for even a few seconds?

On the theater . . . we still have the praise the patriarchy crap going on --

and show begins with a mention of Russert death AGAIN ---

but not a word about the Midwest flooding!!

I think the MUSIC which accompanies the "journalists" and "politicians" vies the

presentation of golfers on TV -- just to mention one male group.

AGAIN . . . WHO WATCHES THIS GARBAGE . . . ??????

PS: Who the hell is the viper David Brooks whose comments were included in text?
and Brian Jennings suggesting that we've had "SWIFTBOATERS" on BOTH SIDES?????
What was Biden's reply to that --- it wasn't clear ---

15. How about a real subject . . . like NATIONALIZING our oil industry . . . ???
and getting electric cars on our roads --- ????

Or maybe a little discussion about why we have a private bank -- the FED -- bailing out

investment banks and setting economic policy for the US?

17. Here is what bothered me about the whole thing: no one is saying
that the REASON the gas prices are so high--is because we are held hostage by these compaines whose goal is to drill on the shores of the US.

The oil company surrogates are acting as if we need to drill BECAUSE of the prices. That is a lie. They have created this crisis so the masses will change their minds about drilling.

And think about what they are doing to our economy to attain their own selfish goals.

I hope we do not let them get away with this.

22. Thanks for mentioning this. It isn't the first time oil companies
have deliberately manipulated the cost/supply of gasoline to accomplish their goals. How about the capped oil fields and undeveloped drilling rights in the US in the mid states that have never been developed? It was evident that something fishy has been going on for several years when several US oil refineries were sold out/shut down. Gotta' kept those obscene profits rolling.

20. Spit up my soda when Biden said "Thats the "old"
way of thinking regarding McCain and Graham. Graham was shaking his head in shock. If Bush-Mccain doesn't kill them, the "old" guy issue will. And yes Biden was brilliant! Gotta be secretary of state or defense!

23. I'm with you there. The next best thing to not being Prez is if
Biden was Vice Prez. Obama needs Biden's expertise and practical advice. That combo would certainly srengthen the ticket.

24. Thought Biden was ineffectual on the Campaign Finance issue
He let Graham crop Obama's answer to the questioneer without challenging him. He failed to note McCain's refusal to disavow RNC and 527 attack ads as well as McCain's gaming the system by opting out of the public system for the primaries after he hit the spending limit,

25. The Huffington Post did a piece on Lindsey's Graham's epic "performance"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/22/sen-lindsey-graham-flacks_n_108531.html

"Graham came to show with a pocketful of woe and a story of Barack's broken promises. He quickly spun this into melodramatic gold, pretending to be stung and betrayed and emotionally out of tune over the matter.

It all culminated in this histrionic moment, where Graham appears to almost tear up and bemoan the waste of Obama's "talent" and "potential" over this issue. It's quite riveting! Mostly because it's so utterly, hopelessly, transparently fake! This is like watching some kid break down and weep, "Say it isn't so, Shoeless Joe!" because the White Sox fixed the 1919 World Series, except the kid is secretly a Reds fan and hates the White Sox and anyway wants to grow up to fix as many games for John McCain as possible. That's the level if disingenuousness.

Anyway, consider this Graham's audition reel for Days Of Our Lives, where he insists that "The reason John McCain is going to beat him is because John has put the country ahead of the desire to win for himself."
