Barack Obama put his statement about foregoing public funds for the general election on his web site. At first, the camera distance was normal. However, about 15 seconds into the statement, the camera zooms so close to him that you can almost see his nose hairs. It reminds one of the Roger Mudd interview with Ted Kennedy that was so devastating back in 1980 or so. But I am sure that the Obama campaign did not film it like that?
The first place I saw where they went into the extreme closeup was on MSNBC on the Morning Joe Show a few days ago. I just saw it again on C-SPAN and the extreme close-up is still there? Why do they have such enlarged shots of people? Why do you think?
