2. Totally
I think all of the official campaign merchandise is union-made. I was disappointed because I ordered a shirt on Ebay at one point when the campaign store was out of just about everything back in February. I thought was from the official campaign store, but it said made in Honduras and lacked the union bug, so I guess not.

4. YUP, it's about time......K&R
I don't know when it stopped being cool to support unions and to buy American products.

Maybe we all just became giddy at the low prices of everything.

Maybe there was a covert campaign to paint "buy American" types as "protectionist" or "right wing paranoids".

I've been witness to steel plants and textile plants being shut down and the flood of chinese imports into our markets.

It seems to have started in the late 80's and accelerated through the nineties right through to the present.

Now it's time to rein in the globalists, address the trade deficit, and to support unions and American workers with our pocketbooks and with our votes.

Is that a breath of fresh air? No, that's Barack Obama and a new enlightened America!

5. Why are you surprised?
I would expect the same of any official materials being sold as part of a Democratic candidate's election campaign.

6. I just checked the Official Obama store
And it says all t-shirts are union printed/ made in the USA. I think that's really great! It isn't easy finding Union labeled shirts these days. I hope there will be more when Obama is President.

I had my husband donate to get a shirt for my daughter. She'll be going to college so I think it will come in handy.

12. I just checked McCain's Official site
They claim the shirts are made in America but, no mention of the Union Label. They are probably made in sweat-shops by the undeclared, underpaid, and over worked.

18. True,
but the candidates know better than not to have their merchandise be union made. Hillary's items are all union made, I'm not sure about McCain's.

14. Smart. Very smart
This could have been a very easy thing to get wrong, but to the Obama campaign's credit, they made sure of where their swag was made. This is attention to detail, folks.
