"Start of tonight's newscast: Is America ready for a black president?

I'd more expect this from Fox that anybody else, but once again it goes back to something I've always believed and have seen in my life.

The Right Wing must scare white people to win elections, and they feel that white people are the easiest people in the nation to scare, thus they have an advantage.

Of course they are going to play the "Evil Black Giant" card about Obama, because they have to. They can't win on policies straight up and they know it. They can't win on record, and they know it.

The GOP to win in 2008 has to play the race card. They are going to do it, and I hope they do because that'll actually help the greater process that I feel this year's election could serve in a greater effort to perhaps bring peoples together.

If you are not white, you are going to learn a lot about the white people in your life as we head along this journey. If you are white, you are going to learn a lot about the non-white people in your life as well. To me that could be the real story of this election and I believe and hope it can be a positive story.
