Time for the religious "left" to slam dunk Dobson's sanctamonious bullshit!
I am not a theologian, far from it actually. So I can't defend Obama on Biblical turf, I don't hang out there. Yet I can tell when a man of religion preaches tolerance and inclusively vs a man of religion who preaches intolerance and exclusivity.

James Dobson is trying to pick up where the late, hate-filled Jerry Falwell left off.

Too bad CNN gives this creep a headline with this:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/24/evangelical.vote/index.html

I googled the term religious left and found this:

http://religiousleft.bmgbiz.net/

"Uniting to promote the politics of compassion"

Is it best to respond to Dobson's rants from the pulpit as well? Would that serve to remind him that he does not have the corner reserved for what defines Christianity?

Personally, I would like to ignore him as easily as I do the Bible thumpers that occasionally leave their propaganda at my door, but the corporate media chooses to give him a stage.

I look forward to the Obama team's response to this idiot. Even more, there are many practicing religious and spiritual folks who understand that compassion, tolerance, and love are far more powerful than hate. They need to join Obama and remind Dobson of that.

I hate that man so much. If Yhwh were real, there's no way James Dobson would be outliving George Carlin.

2. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Most religious left are strict
secularists and don't think politics and religion mix. Many on the left are agnostic or athiest and agree with them.

Somewhere in the middle, believe it or not, the average voter couln't care less.

So, what should/shouldn't they do?

4. No need for them to mix in politics.
All they need to do is slap down his "theology."
