1. 30K only. pfft pocket change. Let me know when they want a million per ticket, and then I'll
consider it.

3. Small donors withheld money from Dean. So did Clinton's big donors.
How the hell do you want them to get money?

4. It's a joke madifloridian. Kinda like "I wish I had 30K to spare on a fundraiser"
:hi:

2. Here is what goes unsaid...the damage done to DNC fundraising
because Dean stood his ground on the rules during the primary. He paid dearly for it with fundraisers threatening and in many cases getting their huge amounts returned.

Threats toward Howard Dean by Clinton's big donors this week should alarm us greatly.

Also this:

True faces of the money men behind the curtain are showing now...threats to Dean and Pelosi.

And this...a very rich man having a tantrum because Dean would not give Florida its way.

DNC gives money back to top Clinton donor and friend who accused Dean of incompetence.

And for the future, we need to remember that DU was the place where everyone came to yell to withhold money from Dean because of how Congress voted.

That hurt us as a party more than people realize. No Democratic forum should be used that way.

6. we'll find out if the BIG DOGS...err, DONORS come out to support the party...
and try to help us make some changes...

or, were they just in it for themselves and what they expected to get from the party (as they thought it was)...

sometimes, money just wants to take care of money...sides are just part of a game...

8. Dean and Michelle Obama have fundraiser on Thursday night.
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/06/michelle_obama_to_headline_her.php

"Michelle Obama is set to keynote her first fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee, another sign that the Obama camp and DNC are joining forces in preparation for a general election contest against a still-formidable Republican fundraising machine.

DNC spokesperson Stacie Paxton confirms to me that she'll headline the event, which is likely to be a high-profile affair and is set for Thursday night at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

The event is also a sign that Michelle is emerging as a key fundraising draw and a key promoter of party unity in the wake of the primary. Michelle has already done events designed to win over potentially disaffected Hillary supporters.

Others expected to speak at the dinner: New York First Lady Michelle Paterson and Providence Mayor David Cicilline. It's Michelle's first event with DNC chair Howard Dean, who will also speak and will introduce Michelle."
