OK the FISA bill...
Edited on Tue Jun-24-08 06:52 PM by barack the house
There are only a few months left that any underhand spying can take place. As long as we work our hearts out for Democrats there should be very little to worry about with this new law. So, yes, it's not ideal but surely if we get the right people in office it isn't going to be the problem that people say. Unless folks believe Obama to be another tyrant. Clearly he isn't so let's get to work people. If it makes Democrats look tough gets him through the WH door I am not complaining really. It doesn't mean I demean any rights it just means sometimes things will suck on the way to a better place.

2. The House version has a 4 year sunset provision; the Senate has 6 years.
The bill will not go away in in few months. You're naive if you think January will alter that.

5. B*lls%it rationalization.
Does anyone think that Obama, with his Harvard Law background, thinks that this is not bad law and unconstitutional?

His stance on FISA is appaling but his willingness to do the wrong thing to get elected is even more disturbing.
