Good article and of course the McCain campaign would like to downplay any momentum that Obama may have at the moment.

2. At this point it's impossible to say really
I still believe that if the election were held today, he WOULD win. Whether or not he's really up by double-digits is really unknown. I would like to BELIEVE he is though.

6. The high allows the media to claim a McCain surge (!)
The media, McCain's base, has been touting McCain on economy, etc. However much the GOP may not mind our inheriting their mess, and rebuilding for 2012, they will try to win, with all the dirty tricks and fraud available.

I hope that all those Nobel economists and generals who like 'no drama Obama' take to the road and spread the word.

Obama, above all, can communicate the reality of what we inherited and need to do.

7. I'm waiting for another poll to come out and see what happens
The tracking polls are notoriously less reliable than the ones showing him at a double digit lead. Two outliers are certainly possible but uncommon.

8. I certainly hope so.
It's almost impossible for me to understand that 40% or so of voters could actually support McCain, given that something like 70% believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. Apparently a significant percentage of the latter are willing to continue to support the failed policy that brought us thus far.

9. Not likely. He has a single digit lead, but that could easily go down.

12. Its possible. The more people see McCain. The more they won't like him
So its very possible. But the only thing that matters is turnout

13. I saw some ironic commentary on Obama's unusual poll lead, from a republican blogger ...

http://www.electionprojection.com/blog.shtml#strangepolls061808

This is the poll tracker that Hugh Hewitt called "One of the web's best prognosticators" Of course Hugh Hewitt said it back in the day when this guy's numbers were predicting a 2004 republican victory.

He was initially skeptical of the high polling numbers so he analyzed the numbers and came to the conclusion that the number just might be right as much as he hates to admit it.
