Another AM at CNN, another day to bash Obama
It is becoming a common occurrence at CNN in the AM to bash Obama. Today we have the "Rove story" of calling Obama arrogant followed by Mitt Romney ripping Obama. Now where are any negative stories of McCain. On the other hand, where are any stories on McCain. So if CNN is going to throw it out that Obama is arrogant, will they call McCain an adulterer? I didn't think so. McCain will get the ulimate free ride in this election. Enjoy it, McCain!

1. Take it as proof that Obama is leading big time.
They consistently bash the front-runner.

And, it will likely be this way until November. They want the appearance of a horse race.

2. It's been planned this way for over a year.
The corporate media in America must now take down Obama, just as it did Edwards and the rest. Their man is McCain, and they are going to make sure he's the next pResident.

Add in a little election fraud, voter disenfranchisement, and viola! the GOP keeps the White House. Now how did that happen with Bush polling at historic lows...

The American Sheeple have been cooperating beautifully with the Empire for months. They were stupid enough to think that real change was inevitable if they made history and nominated someone promised them change. Not so fast, folks. :(

3. The broadcast of McCain and how he doesn't know how to use a computer.
It was sickening. Roberts stated that Americans wanted someone who wasn't on their keys all the time (Obama and his Blackberry). I had to turn it off, they made McCain "cute" cause he was clueless. Disgusting.

4. Yes - think of big sporting events - the media hates runaway outcomes! They need eyeballs...
they will do whatever they can to try to make this a close race and hold the public hostage to their endless spewing of shit. The more the media whacks Obama, the more we can assume that he is crushing McBrainless.

5. ABC too
They went after him for his outreach to young evangelicals, taking the time to replay all of the "crazy preatcher" clips w dobsons comments. Not really saying anything positive about him reaching out.

Why is there such a large group effort to slam Obama and ingnore or praise McCain's worse mistakes.?

6. The media plays McCain's net attack ads for free. Public financing isn't
hurting McCain. Of course, it would leave Obama with NO MEANS to counter the unending attacks. Amazing how the networks even pay pundits to come on and trash Obama.

8. That is what is so dumbfounding to me when I hear knuckledraggers rant about the "liberal media."

7. I thought it was also interesting that they were discussing the elderly and internet access,
at least what little I heard. I had advocated in another forum that if there were some way to provide computer access to the older Americans who are not computer literate and do not have access to the internet, O's campaign could made inroads with the elderly and others who have nothing but MSM to rely on for "news".

I guess this is a topic for a different forum, though.....

9. McCain is getting a free ride
Is anyone really surprised? So it's incumbent on all of us to practice retail politics to help Obama rise above the media spin machine.

10. Here's the irony
Obama draws the audiences, both in person and in the media.

Subscriptions going down? Put Obama on your magazine cover.

Need more ad revenue? Print the name Barack Obama on your front pages for a month. Requests for column space will come rolling in.

Are you a corporate-controlled news network with a losing agenda? Why waste precious airtime trying to pump up withered old hack when you can easily spend hours making up stories about Barack?

I'm no so much worried about the attacks on our candidate. I'm worried about the over exposure. Then again, this ridiculously long primary contest may have been a good thing - in that there's so little time between now and November. If the people do tire of non-stop Obama, that exhaustion will manifest itself in the form of resentment towards the antagonists.

Barack Obama is almost universally likeable. If his detractors keep slamming him, they will end up yammering to empty seats.

11. Have you checked out DU lately? Obama bashing is alive and well.
Two threads that caught my eye today: one condemned Obama for supporting the death penalty for child rapists, the other thread bashed him for not supporting the death penalty for child rapists.

Obama gets bashed for not committing himself to the "fairness doctrine" in media.

Obama tilts to the middle and pisses off activists.

So, don't condemn CNN for supposedly bashing Obama. If half their stories don't bash Obama, they aren't "balanced." But the same shit at DU?

Christ. What has this place become other than a mouthpiece for the radically insane.
