McCain hasn’t voted in the Senate since April 8.

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/06/25/mccain-hasnt-voted-in-the-senate-since-april-8/

In April, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) became the most absent member of the Senate.

According to the Washington Post’s votes database, McCain has “missed 367 votes (61.4%)
during the current Congress.” In fact, CQ reports today that McCain hasn’t voted in the
Senate since April 8. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) last voted on June 4.

1. "I know I miss a lot of votes, but you miss A LOT of votes" probably isn't the best line of attack.

Problems like this are inherent when running as an incumbent senator.

2. If he can't handle his seat in the Senate and the campaign, he should step down.

4. So are Obama and McCain going to shoot back and forth press releases

Saying the other should resign because they miss too many votes?

In a campaign with two senators running, its silly to talk about attendance during a campaign.

7. I just really don't see the utility in this argument.
I'm sure I can go ask my RW neighbor if he thinks Obama should step down for missing so many votes and he would say yes.

I just don't think anything is accomplished here.

3. More important is his overall attendance record over a longer period of time. Don't
know what that is, but it is understandable to miss some votes during campaign season...Kerry missed a lot too.
