This may not come down to Clinton and Obama.

It may come down to the people who worked on their campaigns, who were actually in the trenches, who took the hits and doled out the garbage.

It is they that Obama and Clinton need to concern themselves with if they want to mend the wounds. Just appearing together on stage isn't going to do it for hardcore partisans.

The trenches have been pretty unified all along. It is only here and elsewhere on line that I see the crazy crap. Only here do people say they will never ever vote for one or the other. My trenches are full of those who are ready to vote for the Democratic Nominee and always were. Sure they had a preference, but not the point of not voting for the other.
