Why Hillary Clinton should not be the Vice Presidential nominee |
|
It has nothing to do with who she is, old bad feelings and baggage, the campaign, etc.
The fact is, its exceedingly rare for a sitting Senator to be elected President. Kennedy was the last one. Neither Obama nor Clinton has governing experience. Neither has served in a governing capacity (i.e. Governor, mayor, etc.) Not to be callous, but like McCain, neither has ever been in charge of anything.
To have a Senator/Senator team to me is strategically wrong. You need someone with governing experience on the ticket. Look for a current or former governor to get the nod.
Thats my two cents, which could be totally wrong.

1. She has been in charge of two things. |
|
The 1994 health care bill, and her recent campaign.
Being in charge is NOT her strong suit.

11. Her healthcare bill was attacked by forces that would now |

support according to the CNN documentary on broken healthcare. She has made healthcare her passion and has fixed the few problems that were wrong with the old plan. She could take that whole headache over for Obama, leaving him to focus on foreign policy, economy, etc.

There are other reasons why there are better choices than Hillary Clinton for VP. Mine are:
1. Obama needs a white male to balance the ticket. It really pains me to say this, but it's there. I hope that the next time around Democrats won't have to play these stupid games, but there are still too many racists, sexists, and bigots out there that we have to keep voting Democrat. They're scaredy-cats, and if there isn't a white male on the ticket, they're likely to pee their pants in fear and jerk the lever for McSame.
2. Obama needs a real hawk, with proven hawkish credentials, to mollify the same scaredy-cats I reference above.
3. A governor who can deliver a swing state would be very helpful. Popular governors are better at delivering states than senators, even popular senators. For some reason, people trust governors.

8. I dunno. I tend to dislike hawkish white male politicians and pay them little attention. |

4. But the rules seem to have been thrown out in this go-around. |

Many people are so much more emotional and less strategic.

not the least is she has bs'd about her resume (SCHIP, Tuzla, Ireland, etc.)

7. No governor has more governing experience then a four star general |
|
General Clark has to be VP or SECSTATE. I agree with your assessment. NO to two Senators (nothing personal Senator Clinton, we need you in the Senate gaining seniority.)

9. He certainly meets two of my criteria. |

Clark would be very reassuring to the pants peers. As would Webb.
