senator who didn't show up was Edward Kennedy; who has a very valid excuse.

That means Obama and Clinton were there and on record; McSame chickened out AGAIN (as he frequently does on votes that could hurt him with independents).

I am not hearing squat on this. John McCain attacks this bill at every opportunity, lacks the marbles to show up for the vote, then runs out and claims credit for how "we" passed this GI Bill. This alone should doom his Presidency, because it just paints him as a weak assed calculating opportunist.
