Re: Clinton supporters & voting for Obama ........ There is NO Fucking Way ....... |
|
......... a Democrat is going to let a Repubican win another term in the White House. I simply cannot believe that, except for a few people at the margins, anyone is so bitter about the primaries that they would vote for Captain Combover. I can, however, imagine a very who few might just stay home.
But staying home or crossing party lines seems more like something a Repubican would do in this cycle. Anyone who feels so strongly about Clinton's candidacy is also more likely to be an 'aware' partisan Democrat. And this cycle Democrats are, indeed and righteously, PISSED THE FUCK OFF. And not at Obama. My logic and gut says there is simply no way in hell that any substantial number of Democrats are staying out of it this cycle over a failed primary bid or some arcane campaign tactic on Obama's part.
Today, the media were all atwitter about how sincere Clinton's stated support of Obama is and how strongly she will work to keep her supporters voting Democratic. I think the twitterers ought to go twitter one another, the twits. Clinton is a grownup and professional. She'll come through.
And so will her supporters.

1. exactly. The media doesn't want an united Democratic party. Doesn't play into narrative. |

One big clinton supporter across the street from me was COMPLETELY not sold on Obama on caucus night. I'll have to work on her.

8. Well we know the media has their reasons for wanting to air this |
|
which is to keep the race close so they can get a boost in the ratings and charge their advertisers more. Yep, it's all about the money.

9. I will vote for Obama and maybe give money but will register as an indy. |
|
My anger is more directed towards the party and the media and many (not all) of the Obama supporters.
I still haven't been able to cozy up to Obama but he does come off as less preachy and condescending as the days go by.
