1. I was a mere 16 (but the first SNL was hosted by Buck Henry, or am I
mistaken?)

It was a long damn time ago when I was a young teen, that much I do know!

Thanks for the heads up; hopefully it can stay for a while.

10. It was George on the first one but Buck hosted 10 times
George: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Live

Buck: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buck_Henry

From 1976 to 1980, he hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live 10 times (it became a tradition that he hosted the last show of the year, as he was considered one of the easiest hosts to work with). Henry also hosted the only live remote attempted by SNL, broadcast live from Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

13. Have you seen Get Smart?
I'd forgotten he was involved in that show until the opening credits rolled and I saw his name. I believe he's still alive - lucky for us all! :D

3. It was Belushi and Michael O. Donoghue, one of the writers.

6. It's a funny scene.
O'Donoghue is teaching Belushi's character English and asks him to repeat English phrases back to him.

They do this a few times, so Belushi just mimics everything O'Donoghue does, including the heart attack he suddenly has.

8. I just posted on another thread about it - I graduated in 1975
It's so fantastic to see all these people again- they were so young (but then again, so were we!). They seemed old to me then since I was only 17 at the time. But this show made a HUGE impact in my life and in the lives of my friends.

Wow
