I don't recall Urban Outfitters having lots of iconographic t-shirts of John Kerry |

this is just one more development in a long list of them that give me hope about "this time around". I've also seen 28 years of losing at Oregon State University in football get turned around back in 1999, so I know even the most daunting hills can be climbed.
I believe Obama has much work to do, but if he and his team stay as focused as they were in the primaries and continue to ask for our help he is going to be in the White House. It will be literally one of the shittiest times to hold that position, but it will also be a great opportunity for turnaround in this country.

I don't recall anything like this in 1992, 1996, 2000, or 2004. ONly the "DUBYA" had similar play all over the country. Here's a link to a blog about the artist with the great graphic art effect he has essentially donated to Obama campaign for use. http://www.neublack.com/art-design/featured-project-barack-obama-series-by-shepard-fairey/

4. absolutely. I was thinking the same thing as I read news and msg boards today |
|
there are so many people stuck in the intertia of "STOP" that they don't know how to handle it when someone says it is ok to move forward and make progress and change the dynamic. Even though it's counterproductive, for some people it feels safer and more familiar to stick to the old identity politics, fear mongering, and dividing of our country.
We've got a candidate and a message and grass roots supporters that transcend race and political party. Let's all keep doing our part.
