1. other than the Presidency, this is one of the seats i most want to win
i hate Coleman.i hate the campaign he was running against wellstone and i hated the way he tried to gain from Wellstone's death. saying he was going to suspend campaigning and appearing on every fucking tv show to talk about how he was suspending campaigning.

2. I agree
Ever since that slimeball Coleman took Wellstone's seat I've been anticipating the opportunity to oust him. I even sent some money to Franken, who I've always liked, early on, despite not being in the financial position to donate too substantially to political campaigns! Coleman's capitalizing on Wellstone's death was disgusting; perhaps the worst was the comment he made after he was already Senator that he was a "99-percent improvement" over Wellstone... This is one race that, if we can pull it off, I will be personally relishing the defeat of the Repug.

17. Me, too.
I love the idea of Coleman getting ousted and it would be that much sweeter that it's Al Franken! The numbers for Obama were so heartening (I know it's only June, well now July) but at the same time the numbers for Franken bothered me. Here's hoping both their numbers go up!

4. I'm very surprised that Franken is down by so much

although I was surprised when Minnesotans elected Pawlenty again. Remember the
dreaded E-85 answer? Yup. Don't screw up again Minnesotans!!

7. Franken needs to show how Colepersons lips are welded to bush's ass.
Then he can open up on Normies zipper problems. Then he could open up on how normie did the ultimate flip flop: first im a Dem, now I'm a thug! We are getting absolutely no help from the msm.

Pawlenty is terrible, Bachmann is terrible, Kline is awful, Coleperson is terrible.

But so far this state has been insulated from really high fuel prices.

14. It wasn't the E85 answer it
was his opponent Mike Hatch not having the self-control to reign in his temper. Pawlenty ran the campaign just waiting for the inevitable blow up. It came close enough to the election to make a difference.

18. Still, the voters could have looked past his blow up
Edited on Sun Jun-29-08 09:22 AM by catgirl
Instead, they opted to have Pawlenty around. Minnesotans can be so
reactionary, yet they generously look past some the real facts about
the republican candidates. They seem to be easily charmed by the wolves
in sheeps clothing.

16. I was thinking along those lines as well.
I'm sure that Obama will go and campaign w/ Franken. MN being in our column helps Obama and he'll need to work to keep it . I'm still just absolutely baffled at that percentage of independents favoring Coleman. Just mind boggling.

19. My concern is that with Obama polling so well
in Minnesota, Obama may not spend much on his campaign here, and Franken really could use the excitement Obama will generate.

10. There's still time for Franken to improve his position and take the lead,
and time also for Obama to buid a lead with long coattails.

I'm optimistic about that Senate race.

15. Franken interviewed Obama on his radio show when Obama was running for
IL senate. Seems that Obama will be helping Franken. (No I don't really think Obama got a bump from an Air America interview here in Illinois).
