Breaking: McCain Campaign "Concedes" That Obama Is Patriotic

By Greg Sargent -

This line from a top McCain adviser, in a Politico article on Obama's efforts to convince the electorate that he's American through and through, is unintentionally funny and revealing (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/11550.html)

"We don't want to talk about his patriotism and character," said McCain adviser Charlie Black. "We concede that he's a patriot and person of good character. This is about big issues."

It kind of says it all that to this senior McCain campaign hand, acknowledging that Obama is patriotic is a concession.

2. We should remind them that it is not a big issue everytime they talk about Mcains patriotism
Thy were just pretty clear. Patriotism and character are not big issues.

To bad it's what McCain is trying to base his campaign on.

7. "This is about big issues...
...like whether or not Senator Obama has the experience and judgment to wear an American flag lapel pin with the same ostentation as Senator McCain."

In other words, they've got NOTHING and are reduced to doing whatever they can to obscure the inescapable fact that McCain doesn't have the intellectual capacity to be president. One Bush Jr. was enough.
