I have decided I am done watching any msm
I don't want to see the daily distortions of Obama's positions any more. I know where he stands and I support hom 100%. Anything McCain says absolutely sickens me and I am sick of seeing him being given pass after pass.

So I have decided to stop watching because it just makes me angry. I will watch the debates and donate to Obama and work for his campaign but other than that my TV is OFF.
Who is with me?

9. It's like anything else...
ONE DAY AT A TIME. Today, I will not be the pawn of the MSM. They don't inform, they have made a mockery of the word "news". They have spun and misrepresented situations to create an even race, in an attempt to make it more interesting for the viewing ignorant public, to keep them watching. They throw enough crumbs to both sides to keep them thinking that they are fair. Today I will not allow them to use me for no purpose except their own paychecks.

Bloomberg actually tries to present all sides, but that is primarily a financial network

11. I was a little after that, maybe 2005, but my life and household is better
for it.

The only way the garbage will stop is if people quit watching it.

10. I'm exactly where you are on Obama and the MSM
In fact, except for lurking here for those great campaign pics and some supportive news about Obama, the combative threads, IMO, are as pointless as listening to the MSM.

12. With you. I'm also almost there with all the distortions folks bring
into this forum. I've see MSM crap repeated here like it's God's truth.

14. MSNBC seems more like TMZ right now
After taking a break from MSM, I turned on MSNBC to find "news" on Christie Brinkley's divorce, some baseball player is also getting a divorce and possibly having sex with Madonna, and there's a plane with an odd dent in its nose that may or may not be caused by a bird. Oh, and Guo Guo the panda has given birth to twin cubs.

:eyes:

15. I don't even know what just happened....
Contessa Brewer just said.

"Apparently, size DOES matter! At least to people in Croatia!" Then she went on to describe a record, um, big sausage in Croatia. And then she said "Oh, YUM!" The way she said Oh Yum was...special, to say the least. MSNBC is on where I work right now, but I face away from it so I couldn't see the pictures that went along with it. MSNBC is getting just as bad as Fox.

20. BREAKING NEWS: Nicole Kidman popped out a kid
I saw the sausage coverage too (working from home with MSNBC on for background noise). This is just ridiculous. Plus, if I ever went to work wearing a see through pink sweater like the one Contessa is wearing right now, I would be told to leave.

16. I've stopped watching post after a week of MSNBC dedicating itself to Tim Russert
I figured the media backlash was immenent for Obama and this is from ALL the media spectrum so I just moved away. The MSM has gone mad and I can't help them with that. Since this indirectly supports another term or two for Bush.

18. I stopped watching
shortly after the sham of an election in 04, when the chimp was on his "I have a mandate tour" The TV in the bedroom plays DVDs and VHS tapes of old movies. Watched the series of Roots over the weekend. Better entertainment, that I control.

Snips of Olberman, or the Daily show, I can get online. News, I can get online. MSM and their programing is a total wasteland. There is no food for the soul or the brain.
