Christian Right goes straight for the gutter
from CBN:

Oh my. The fight against Barack Obama on abortion has officially begun. The Christian Defense Coalition, who are known to shock folks from time to time, have come up with a new campaign called: “Barack Obama: The Abortion President”. They are going to make clear that Obama wants taxpayers to foot the bill on abortions. They are also going to lay bare his record on abortion. They’ll conduct a news conference Tuesday in front of the Hart Senate Office Building where Obama’s Senate office is located.

Look at the picture they are unveiling. Pretty shocking.

Personally, I think this is solely an effort by the Christian Right to try to re-assert their own relevance in a Presidential race where McCain is giving them the cold shoulder by creating a "buzz". This is so below the line, they can't possibly imagine its going to resonate with anyone who wasn't voting for McCain in the first place.

Stupid.

This isn't going to have much effect because the rabid anti-choice people wouldn't have voted for Obama anyway.

2. It's nice to see
....that the Christain right has improved and elevated itself so much that they can now reach the gutter.

Give them a few more decades and they may be able to reach the floor!

14. You mean "Pharisees", right?
It's the Pharisees who were the "religious right" hypocrites back in JC's day.

9. They're trying to scare their supporters away from him...it's what they've always
done. And the idea that a number of Christians on the right (mostly younger ones anyway) may vote for him or sit out must be having them pissing in their pants.

13. Are there any doubts as to the choices we face this November?
The Left may disagree with Obama on some issues, and will certainly battle him once he becomes President, but the alternative to Obama is four more years of the neocon wars and the Xtian Taliban.

18. Hey, I can compromise --
MY taxes will pay for legal abortions for women who need them.

YOUR taxes can pay for illegal wars I refuse to support.

Happy?

19. The republicans have had total control over government policy for
8 to 12 years.

Is abortion still legal?

Of course it is but the middle class is almost dead.
