What the economists didn't sign

This morning, the McCain campaign http://johnmccain.com/Informing/News/PressReleases/Read.aspx?guid=c90681b9-5dfe-4de4-8057-ceedb30c228d">sent out a press release: OVER 300 ECONOMISTS SIGN STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF JOHN MCCAIN'S ECONOMIC PLAN.

The statement leaves out two big chunks of McCain's economic argument: the gas tax holiday and his http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/11553.html">promise to balance the budget by the end of his first term -- there's literally nothing in the release that mentions the deficit or national debt.

3. Probably similar to the anti-global warming scientists
Most likely a bunch of people with no economic credentials.

2. No economist worth a damn should have signed any of it
Continuing the Bush tax breaks on the wealthy should have disqualified McSame's tax plan for any economist, regardless of political persuasion.

4. and how many economists didn't sign it?
300 isn't all that many in the overall scheme of things.

And without knowing who the heck they are? I'm not impressed.
