Do You Think Obama Will Announce his VP before he Goes on European/MidEast Trip? |
|
I think so. :D It would be most logical. He gets the bump during a slow period heading into the end of the month. The Trip will give him another bump. The VP will get to stay back here and get acquainted with everyone and go on a VP tour while the CIC goes and takes care of International business. When Obama comes back early August, they team up and go on a tour together and that last until the convention. Then at the Convention, they both are introduced as the ticket. Then, when that is out of the way, Obama gets to make history on August 28th, 45th anniversary of MLK Jr's "I Have a Dream Speech". He can't possibily announce the VP during the convention because that is just wasting a good few weeks of excitement by combining it with the convention.
I would bet we know who the Veep is by the end of this month and BEFORE he goes on his trip.
What do you think?

2. I think he should wait until after McCain announces his pick. |
|
Whenever that is.... so McCain's choice will pale in comparison and Obama's will create a lot of excitement.

3. But isn't the point of a convention to nominate both the president and VP candidate? |
|
He can't leave the convention without a VP chosen and on the public record.
