Big announcement coming up on Countdown re: Olbermann... |
|
per Rachel.
Any guesses?
Engaged? Takes Russert's place on MTP and Rachel gets his show? Becomes head of the Political Division?
What's up?

It would be a great loss to the very tiny truth machine if he went into sports full time. Plus a slight waste of brain cells, imo. No offense.

|
But Rachel *should* get her own show.
As for MTP, they need to find a watered down "centrist" who buys into Republican framing 80% of the time out of fear of being called liberal. You know, someone who represents the MSM well.

Of, course Amy Goodman would be my choice but Bob does great interviews in sports, likes to be independent which is why he does HBO and is well researched.

I was seriously hoping they would choose a woman. Amy Goodman lacks dyanmism. She's smart, and I agree with her most of the time, but she wouldn't be able to make it sound interesting if a small car full of clowns invaded the Oval Office.

|
I have sometimes agreed with him and sometimes not but now I will NOT listen to talking heads on either side of the aisle. He needs to stay in sports. I wish we could get rid of ALL talking heads including Bill O , Limbaugh and all that ilk including the most obnoxious of AAR. But they make a buck I guess.I wish we had real journalists whose opinions we did NOT know.

54. I would like to see the return of "real news" in the tradition of Cronkite. |
|
I don't want to hear anymore of Keith's "special Comments or O'Relly's "No Spin Zone. I just want the NEWS not what a talking head thinks about it. KO or Bill O have an opinion and neither is always based on fact and both are slanted to their audience.I have been catching CNN International and the BBC when I can. I refuse to watch anymore American news. It is all just "opinion" and spin.
My "purity test" is met when I don't know the "opinion " of the newscaster" nad get to hear an "unbiased rendition of the news. One would not think that was too much to ask.

And people who watch him are "deadenders". Which makes you what? Smarter than everyone else? Better informed? Or just bitter? When liberals had no one standing up for us, unless you count Colmes, Olbermann gave us a voice on TV. He used his OPINION SHOW to form an OPINION on who he thought would be the better candidate and was slaughtered for it. Now his viewers are "deadenders" and he makes Fox look credible?
I love this:
are you identifying yourself as one? Yeah I am. You got a fucking problem with that? I watch Olbermann. What exactly is it you are going to do about it?
