So I will know once and for all if we are permanently screwed? If the American people vote for John McCain, after what we have gone thru for the last 8 years, I will have lost all faith in the people of this country and any chance to save our democracy. I know Obama is not a savior or a magic man, but we have to show sometime that we are ready to stop the criminals and demand they obey the laws of our country and our Constitution.

I am totally discouraged at the lack of leadership in our Congress and Senate. We cannot depend on them. They will sell us down the river every time. Just like they will sell us down the river today on the FISA. It's not about "national security". It's about the next election. It's not about our Constitution. It's about cover your ass. I am very close to losing all faith in our system of government and our elected officials.

Sorry that I am so pessimistic today. I have run out of patience with these assholes. I refuse to support anyone that so blatantly disregards our laws and our Constitution.

12. I'm having a hard time with it today as well.

First I saw a BillO clip on C&L where he raved about how liberals are destroying America, then the paper had two articles about the hated cheney (implicated in Plame and found to have watered down climate change warnings). Online, I've been reading about the lily-livered Dems in Congress (FISA is only the latest betrayal) and their abject refusal to do the will of the people. The people who elected them. The people they "represent".

So yeah, at least today, I'm with you!
