Poll question: Will Bush Or Affirm Or Reject The Swift Boat Ads?
It's obvious that the Democrats are trying to force Bush to either affirm or reject these ads..

Eventually the Simian In Chief will be forced to address these ads...

Do you think Bush will affirm or reject these ads?

1. He'll affirm them.
This is his entire campaign, for Christ's sake. He doesn't have a record to run on (that is, if he's masochistic and wants to run on a disasterous Iraq war and the economy going into the toilet). His campaign is nothing more than smearing John Kerry. And if he sees any political mileage in endorsing the Swift Boat Ads, he'll do it.

3. He Can't Affirm Them
He's on the record as saying Kerry's service was noble...

6. I agree but
Aren't you just greedy in the impossible spectable of the retraction?

Like the day you get the bully to walk away. Then you know you have his number and he's not going to get away with beating you up anymore.

As when they got Condiliar to testify after days of refusing. Amazing, if you actually don't give in you can get them to move, even though of course all we got was more lies.

He'll spin it too his satisfaction but I feel the worm has turned, retract or no, it's lose-lose for Bushbots but I don't know if they know that yet.

2. He'll reject them in some dubious vague way
And then claim he did it when he didn't. And talk about free speech and such.

4. No, he'll wimp out, and won't affirm or reject.
W is for Wimp. He doesn't have the courage to take a firm stand.

7. He'll have to reject

And then his one note song will be over and his poll numbers will fall like a stone, ... or sink like a boat.

8. He wont reject....it would look like he is doing what Kerry told him to do
which would make him a pussy. Republicans don't like pussies and people who use the word "sensitive".

Kerry has asked Bush several times to reject the ad. Bush refused. If he does it now, Kerry can say "Thank you, George, for taking my advise...I knew you would listen to me...because I am a smart, strong leader..."

9. Other: Avoid the answer altogether.
But everyday, they are losing more ground on this issue. In fact, this will lose him votes. But, really, what else is he going to run on? Distractions from the issues is what this is all about.

10. He'll drag it out forever, until very few are still paying attention
and then reject the ads in some vague, squishy way. Then, of course, the media will barely cover the rejection.

Think about how he finally admitted that there is no Saddam-Al Qaeda link.

11. He already has affirmed them -
by refusing to denounce them.
