Inside the republican mind: McCain's infidelity.
I'm in Texas so I hear a bit about the current republican mentality. Here are some reasonings. I'm playing more of an undecided than I am.

"When Iran or Israel cause world war III who do you want running the white house?" I answered neither, McCain is too old and apparently out of touch with many topics relating to the region and Obama is in-experienced. I state my current point that their VP choices really do matter to me in this .

The republicans seem to be pushing big on this possible world war III situation.

The response to my McCain is old statement is that He'll only be one Year younger than Reagan was. I pointed out Reagan while he was losing it near the end looked much more together than MCCain does now.

I also brought up I really don't like how McCain cheated on this first wife.

The big defense was this.
1) They were separated, essentially in the process of getting a divorce so it was ok.
2) It's ok because relationships change as people change when they come home from war, There was a slight implication that it was because he had changed due to POW not because of her accident.
3) He admitted it was mostly his fault the relationship doesn't work, so because he admitted that he's forgiven.

None of it I cared for. Fore me infidelity is infideltiy I don't see how those who didn't like it when Clinton did it should be acceptable of McCain's.

1. Infidelity is never an issue if it involves a 'puke candidate: having the "right" politics is
the only thing that counts. :D

2. Obama clearly shows he can SOLVE... McBush can but not as good as Obama
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 05:42 PM by opihimoimoi
Obama seems like he favors peaceful ways to solve...unlike McBush who is a WAR GUY....favors solving with confrontational Force

McBush favors Conservative Justices on the SC...Obama clearly wants objective ones...

McBush seems void of good solid reasons for us electing him...shows many Neg signs..

Obama shows vice versa....Positive steps to promote his Positive Polarity...McLame...he is emersed in Negativity....

I wannaa advance this Nation...not stifle it....Vote BLUE

5. If it matters to any of these people, McCain was definitely NOT separated

when he took up with Cindy, and his first wife was devastated, according to their friends.

She had become crippled in a serious car accident while he was a POW, and was no longer the glamorous fashion model that he'd married. So he dumped her for a younger woman with tons of money and important family connections. Cindy and her family were a great boon to his career.

You could also ask your friends why they would feel safer having someone who was a such poor performer at the Naval academy (the fifth from the bottom of the 900 member class) in charge in a seriously threatening situation. Do we really need another full-of-himself dolt as President?

Obama may be inexperienced in foreign affairs, but he's both brilliant and a hard worker. He'll appoint good advisors and he'll use his own excellent judgment. He's up to the job -- McBush isn't.

6. Ronald Reagan
was 70 when elected. He wasn't older than McCain is. And besides McCain acts like he is already senile.

7. Exceptions for rich white males...
...go right back to ius primae noctis and beyond. Privilege hath its privileges. Infidelity is only infidelity when someone poor does it.
