Amazing! Harold Ford did a pretty good job on Gregory's program today
of pointing out that when it came to McCain whining about legislatiive measures and Obama, that a good portion of the past decade the Rs were in complete and total control of the government and could have passed anything, including immigration measures. He also pointed out that McCain was in the Senate for more than 20 years and had ample time to push measures he wanted through.

1. Yeah, Ford doesn't always suck.
In fact, lately at least, Ford often doesn't suck.

My, how some things do change over time.

2. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall.
More power coming for Dems. ... He wants to get on the gravy train now.

He makes me sick. He's been a traitor so many times. :grr:

3. Still not happy with Harold's own centrist, DLC pitch, as if there has been a switch.
Don't have problems woth centrism, but the less labeling the better. There have been rhetorical differences, but not switching of positions-except FISA, which is defensible.

Any ceding that flip-flop is valid is not a winner.

Thanks for your increasing presence here, Otter. Much appreciated!

4. Well, ok. Glad he didn't suck today
Frankly the man is light years beyond any possible redemption for me. He could turn into Teddy Kennedy and I wouldn't trust him, not ever.

5. I can't take him seriously.
He was the only pundit, Republican or Democrat, who thought McCain's green screen "That's not change we can believe in" speech was good. But he didn't just think it was good, he thought it was AMAZING! I remember he used words like "powerful" and "in touch." It blew my mind. He was giggling like aa school girl over it.
