Help me edit my anti-McCain attack ad.
I got this video over at Jumpcut, a site that lets you edit videos online using your browser.
It also lets you edit/remix other people's videos.
I haven't posted it on Youtube yet because, although it's ready to post, I think it can be better.
Therefore, I want your help. Take a look at my video and tell me how I can make it better. OR remix it yourself and make a better one.

Your video reminds me of how much I would _loathe_ listening to that nasal voice for four to eight years. :scared:

(Sorry for the belated welcome! :hi: )

2. I hate to be so negative but...

...I think it stinks.

You have McCain mostly just blathering on at his own pace, covering all his talking points. The same for the recent o'reillry clip near the end. The bits of Billo's old tantrum added don't lead one to question what was just said, it's just jarringly stuck in there and surprisingly easily to tune out.

What you're left with is McCain getting in his talking points, O'Reilly doing the same, and the "opposition" looking sputtering and incoherent, and (since it's obviously and old clip) not really addressing McCain's position. It actually works better as an ad _for_ McCain than against him.

The "tantrum Bill" clip is a distraction, no matter how amusing it is to anyone who's sick of Billo. Lose it, or at least cherry pick the best of it and save it for the end so that you have Bill arguing with himself. What would work better is putting in clips that show McCain's talking points for the hogwash they are: McSame makes taking point, cut to clip showing it to be hot air, repeat.

I don't want to discourage you, but I think you're barking up the wrong tree with the version you have up now.

3. It has a good start at satire
But since O'Liely himself has not really come out against McCain, it might be a more effective attack ad to take the McCain clips and refute them. For example, cut the first McCain clip right after he says that Dems say he's going to be Bush's third term. Then put in clips of McCain supporting the Bush agenda again and again and again, ending with the infamous shot of him hugging Bush. The general American audience doesn't get satire, especially subtle satire. For this to be an attack ad, you must be more obvious, I think.

But you've made a great start!

Welcome to DU! :hi:
