They speak with one voice and are outward directed.

They circle around their candidate, reject all criticism, and incessantly attack our candidate from multiple directions.

We consider every one of their attacks on its merit. If there is anything at all of substance in the attack, there will be voices on our side publicly expressing deep concern over this serious issue. We are inwardly directed, constantly demanding that our candidate address all of our issues, and leap at every opportunity to criticise our own.

The media plays on the differences between them and us. They know full well that we will evaluate every bullshit attack as if it were a serious argument worthy of our consideration. They seek to divide us and turn us against each other and in the process portray their side as the serious, in-control, leaders, father figures, and our side as squabbling immature 'children'.

And we fall for it every damn time.
