Are we giving McCain a pass on his Iran joke?

Had Obama made this gaffe we would have had many threads about it on DU. The MSM would be running the clip over and over again.

Yet when McCain makes such a huge blunder, we show little outrage and the MSM by large ignores the story.

So what is the deal here? :shrug:

Are we so assured of our chances in November that we are willing to give McCain passes and focus on Obama instead?

6. I would guess most democrats aren't as touchy

about McCain sticking his foot in his mouth so often,let's face it,it had no effect on Dubya. It seems natural to me that most posters on DU are more concerned when there is even a perception that Obama makes mistakes. We've had close elections which resulted in 8 years of Bush,people are a little jittery about any perceived misstep when it comes to our presidential chances. As far as the media being fair,I gave up expecting that a long time ago,were the media fair, Dubya would have been raked over the coals the first time he ran,let alone his second term.
